Nice seems to be the consensus, thanks! Any other idea that quickly comes to mind?

Zenbook is the best option considering the specs. Thinkpad is an excellent option as well. You can choose one of the two.

The Zenbook by far. The Ryzen 7 5800h is a beast and the IGPU is very good

Even if you don’t game on it, bare in mind that the IGPU runs very well recent games with FSR and without it, considering that it only has a 1080p resolution. I can say this because i have a Vivobook S14 with this CPU and IGPU, and i love it, and my display is 2.8k,everything runs very smooth

I’m more of a console gamer and only play chess on my laptop. But maybe it would be time to go through my old stream library then. Thanks again. Can’t believe it’s so difficult to find the right laptop.

If you wanted a bit longer battery life, The ZenBook 14 with a Ryzen 7 7730u should deliver better battery and still very good speed. I have last year’s version in a Lenovo, and it is excellent on speed and battery efficiency.

In US, it seems it is easier to find it at Walmart.

Thinkpad and ZenBook are excellent. ZenBook was NYT pick as best deal in ultra lite market. HP Spectre their favorite, but it costs over 1 K for the hp.

Thinkpad an excellent business laptops, but it is heavier. My US based repair shop recommends Thinkpad or Latitude as very easy to locate parts.
