I want to purchase an Apple Watch Ultra 2 this week. I went to the Apple Store closest to me last week and looked at them along with the ocean, alpine, and trail bands.

I’m hoping to get help with which band to buy.

I work in a veterinary hospital, and I frequently need to wash my hands and wash them all the way up my forearm.

Sometimes my previous Apple watches I have given me a rash when moisture builds up under the band between hand washes, and it’s also annoying to have a wet band against my wrist all day. My hands can get pretty dirty (you don’t want to know) so stopping beforehand to take my Apple Watch off with gross hands isn’t an option.

I thought I wanted the ocean loop figuring it would be the easiest to dry without removing the watch, but when I saw it in person, I discovered it was really hard to take on and off, meaning I think id literally need help. The band was that hard to manuver.

Does this improve with time and wear? Or should I consider another type of band?

Any help or advice is appreciated!

Honestly, I’d get the trail loop for outside of work then get a nomad sport band for everyday at work. Super easy to take on and off and way better quality than apples sport bands.

My fiance is also working at a vet hospital and knowing the crap that gets on her throughout the day (literally) I wouldn’t look at anything but the ocean band for work. She only ever uses the sport or solo loop bands on her watch since it’s much easier to keep clean. The ocean band is pretty easy to deal with once you get used to taking it on and off
