And sooner rather than later. They use a laser to melt the adhesive and the more spider webbed it is the more manual labor will be involved to fix it.

I’d expect about $150 to fix it. The guy at the mall has done this 100 times. And takes about two hours.

I did it. Think it was worth it.

    DON’T GO SWIMMING

-Source: I had this shit and got my phone wet in Vegas and it fucked my life up

Otherwise it was good for year+ (I have no idea when I cracked it just took it out of the case one day and it was fucked)

That’s a bit of an exaggeration, but I had to get a burner phone, couldn’t access my 2FA/work shit etc. it was not fun.

Keep it, it can give you an edge in all sorts of price negotiations. Also dress down when meeting the other party. They will stop thinking they can pull money out of you. A friend of mine does it to the point where he even gets cheap rental cars to meet sellers (he’s in buildings). He would never show up with a new iphone there. What you can also do is have a good strategy, study the situation upfront, listen actively and be patient. Your broken phone is a good start, but don’t expect it to bargain for you. Anyway, hope this helps - best of luck!
