Tetris Effect is one of the first games I installed on my Deck but the d-pad just doesn’t seem as suited for it as the one on the Elite series 2 controller. I find the Elite’s short travel and clickiness to be preferable for speed. Not to say it’s unplayable on the Deck of course, but I’m not as fast.

How are you finding the steam deck for competitive play?
Ain’t no way I’m hitting sub 1:30s for 40lines on the steam decks dpad. I have to use a 3rd party button controller.
For actual competitive, it’s decent for me. I’d rather use an Xbox controller, but the more comfortable I get with the steam deck, the faster my gameplay is…till I use a regular controller again and break the habit
Nope. The buttons Steam Deck has to offer definitely aren’t built for Tetris. Especially not competitively.
