Hey everyone! I just picked up the iPhone 15 plus and I’ll be honest the battery life is unreal. Absolutely amazing so far. For a 60hz panel you adjust to how smooth iOS really is for their panels.

Apple doesn’t make too many devices that they must optimize one by one so it makes sense that the iOS launcher has good frame syncing with the display

However (coming from an iPhone 15 Pro Max owner), if you scale down the refresh rate from 120hz to 60hz, it’s gonna look atrocious, though every time I’ve been on a 60hz standard iPhone (like in your case) it has felt so much smoother than the former. Maybe it’s due to the fact that the adaptive refresh rate feature allows the ProMotion iPhones to go as low as 1hz (if I’m not mistaken), so, ironically, it feels less smooth than the 60hz standard model, even though it can be smoother than it.

I honestly wonder why that is. Thought I was getting the same 60hz experience 🤷!?

Yeah, from my experience with my 14 Pro I agree with what you are saying. My 14 Pro set to 60Hz in settings feels worse than my parents iPhone 13 does.

The more I see the green, the more I wish I had gotten that instead of the “barely” blue!

Regular 15’s colors are horrible. So ugly. Was really hoping for a good green color but nope.

Honestly, I switched from a two year old Samsung to the iPhone 15, and it feels really disappointing and slow in comparison. The switch from 120hz back to 60 is really tuff, especially when your other devices are also 120 or 144. It just feels jittery and it would have been such a minimal cost for Apple to include it in this phone.

I totally get it. I have an s23 ultra and I wanted the plus after tons of reviews I watched and read. I know the display refresh rate is a huge comprise, but tbh I don’t mind. I love both iOS and android.

As a former 12 Pro owner said also short time ago that ”60hz doesnt matter”. Bought 15 Plus, had it for short time, returned because being too big, picked used 13 Pro instead.

Now that I’m used to 120hz on 13 Pro, my moms iPhone 11 feels super laggy 😆🙈
