You figure out how to get Dishonored 2 running and let me know. I tried what others suggested on Proton DB and it freezes up when I load a save or start a mission. Been playing out via moonlight, instead, but I’m leaving for a trip tomorrow ☹️. Get to dig into the backlog , at least.
Ah s**t really? I googled it and saw a bunch of vids/reviews saying it ran ok 😭 ah well, for like 3 euros I guess it’s worth the gamble 👍
You could always refund if you played it for less than 2 hours.
I’ve been playing it on the deck, and I don’t recall doing anything special to get it running.
However, it did require a lot of tweaking the graphics settings to get a decent frame rate without it looking terrible.
It worked for me, but I’d already finished it on my PC with mouse and keyboard, which I always prefer for “such games”. I don’t remember having to do anything special to run it on the Deck - and, actually, it was the very first game I installed on it, since it’s one of my favorites, and I wanted to check out how it would compare to “the desktop experience”.
Worst case scenario you might have to choose a different version of Proton to run it. That might seem complicated the first time you try it, but after your first attempt (and less than 10 minutes of your time), you’ll know “how to do it” for all other games in less than 1 minute.
I didn’t have any issue at all, just installed and played. Changed the controller config to use gyro but aside from that I don’t think I touched anything.
