I got a new s23 ultra today. I was told using the charger from my s 20 or s21 will damage the battery (the block particularly). Is this true? If so it sucks cause I have like 5 of them

    I use my old chargers, never had an issue ever, on any phone. If it was the store that told you this… they just wanted to sell you more.

    should be fine. that’s actually the reason why phone manufacturers stopped including adapters, bricks in the box. because most of us have them, should work for all electronics and reduces plastic waste.

    It won’t charge at maximum speed is the only downside, which isn’t a big deal.

    It’s an expensive phone, so if you want to be sure, the correct Anker charger for the S23 series is on sale right now at Amazon, it is the Anker 313 and it’s only $17.99. If you want to fast charge, you’ll need a 5A cable, Anker 333 is a good choice.
