My wife needs a new phone after dropping her nth Samsung phone for the 20th time. We really like the functionality of Samsung phones, but it seems none of them can survive being dropped repeatedly (crazy, eh?). What I’m looking for is a phone/case combo that can survive a nuclear war. Speaking of which, since my wife is female, it should not look like an armored personnel carrier and it should not weigh more than 8 oz (226g). It must have a large screen (>= 6.7"), support dual sim (one eSim, one physical is OK), and have a good camera. It does not need to be a current model, but shouldn’t be more than a few years’ old. Any suggestions or tips?

I have a S22 Ultra as my personal phone, as well as a XCover Pro for work. I honestly use the walmart brand case for my S22 Ultra, and my work phone came in a semi-permanent case. I actually drop both of them nearly every day, tons of daily wear and tear, general use. Besides some surface level scratches to the screens, I’ve never even managed to put a real crack in either screen or lost any level of functionality.

Any of the more recent flagships should be fine, and a sturdier case?
