It’s honestly my favorite feature. I always have to turn my WiFi fully off when driving or it auto connects to my dash cam and stops maps and music. Since you can only temporarily disable it (idk the technical term) in control center I’d have to unlock>settings>wifi>off and again with Bluetooth. Now I can hold the action button>select shortcut and it’s done. I also have a timer set for my lunch break and before I’d forget to turn it on because I didn’t want to stop in a walkway to go through menus. Now action button>start preset timer. It’s a small time saver but it’s nice for the things you use often.

The con for me is I accidentally press it when trying to turn the volume up

you can turn off the auto connection to your dashcam’s wifi connection in the wifi settings. just turn off auto-join and that’s that.

You underestimate how muh easier is to click tbe Action Button vs dragging the Control Center down. Specially one handed or carrying stuff.

They should add an “open control center” shortcut action for this purpose.

Not if you’re just going to select your action from a menu like OP is doing. In some ways it’s even less convenient than the Control Center because the menu items are at the very top of the screen.

Not just that, but a lot of the most important functionality in control center is further hidden under long presses. Takes FOREVER to bring up a list of Bluetooth devices or WiFi networks or the hotspot/airdrop settings.

Seeing that most of OP’s shortcuts are at the TOP of the screen, how much easier is it, really, to access those functions?

Yeah, some are kind of redundant but I plan on swapping them out as I think of more convenient shortcuts to put in their place.
