I just booted my deck for the first time today, and everything looks a bit better, did it get graphics update or something, did they change the menus, what happened, or am I going crazy ?

The new default for the color vibrancy profile is much improved. They use an emulated sRGB one now. I increase my screen even a bit more than the new default (halfway between sRBG and Boosted).
The default used for the Temperature is a little “warm” for my taste (slightly red). I personally really like 9000 as whites look much closer to pure white (ie. toward the bluer end of the spectrurm). Give it a try and see if you like that setting better.
Do you have cataracts or something that you need so much blue?
The default is warm because it puts much less strain on the eyes. But whites are not white at that temperature.
The solar blackbody radiation of the sun is 5800K.
