Haven’t used my Deck for more than a couple of games for quite a few months and haven’t noticed any issues. However, I have a ton of shit installed and they all used to work as I tested them all before a vacation a few months ago. But now (I updated to 3.55, not sure if that’s coincidental), a ton of them won’t start and hangs on the boot up screen where you can hit B to abort the startup. Games I tested were mostly older games. GTAIV, Grid, Trials Evolution Gold Edition, Outer Wilds, etc.

Some games work fine, like Diablo 4, Hades, Dead Cells and all my emulated games so it’s isolated with just some select games.

Any idea what happened or how to fix this? I tried uninstalling and redownloading them and tried forcing it using different proton versions. Not sure how else to troubleshoot this.

Piggybacking off of the other commenter. You could alternatively install decky and put storage cleaner on your system. It’ll show you all your games that you installed that have shader and compat data stored. I just went through mine last night and cleared roughly 5-7gb of data off my internal drive from games I wasn’t playing.
