Basically title… I been wanting Starfield but haven’t gotten it yet because of the bad performance on steam deck. I only have ps5 so I can only get starfield on deck. Any input or info would be appreciated.

I beat starfield on deck and I’d only recommend it if you’re reeeally not bothered by bad frame rates. I’d get 20 ish in most cities and between 20-30 out exploring. When you’re indoors though it can be 40-50 so it’s playable then. But overall performance is not good and all the updates and the steam 3.5 update haven’t seemed to help at all
The update in the game’s beta channel is supposed to help CPU and GPU performance a lot according to Digital Foundry. They just recently released a video on it. I don’t think the update has gone live yet for full release but if you want to test yourself you can select the beta update in the game’s Steam properties.
I feel like with that update and the performance improvements of SteamOS 3.5, it may be a better experience but I can’t confirm it personally.
