I have a question: do I really have to buy the Connect subscription for the remarkable 2 or is that not necessary because I don’t like subscription services.

    I’ve been able to do everything I’ve needed to do without a cloud account at all. The only thing I can think of that I may be missing out on is handwriting recognition, and to be honest the tablet’s text features are bad enough that I don’t feel like it’s a great loss.

    If you do things like markup PDF’s, it’s pretty awesome to have the file open on your pc and see your edits update on your screen (almost near real time).

    Very cool and well worth 3 bucks a month.

    nah, you don’t need the connect subscription. i don’t like subs either. just stick with the basic features.
