I hope they release some Homekit-driven hardware to give them cause to make homekit stable. It’s so unreliable. Latest iOS update broke my entire setup and it’s still not right weeks later.

I have the original HomePod and thought it sounded pretty bad compared to Sonos products. By far my most disappointing Apple purchase.

I’m looking for something like that, I currently have an apple tv connected to 2 homepod mini, I had several audio sync issues but since early 2023 after all the app updates (especially twitch and youtube) & apple software updates fixed them for good.

Looking for a bigger HomePod update to have 2.1 sound system both for the Apple TV & Music, since the big original homepod is, imho, on the verge of being replaced for me (new bluetooth chipsets etc), I’m waiting for its successor

That article is pretty low quality writing. The logic that “every mini product has a larger counterpart so therefore there must be a HomePod max” coming is ignoring the fact that a larger HomePod already exists.

It’s larger but not large. I have a google home max and the output is significant. The average consumer cares more about price than audio quality though, sadly.

Recently picked up HomePod mini brand new for $50. Honestly really decent.

I live in an apartment so there’s only so much automation I can do, but it works awesome with HomeKit. I automated my lights and fan, works like a charm. Magic handoff is awesome too

If owned a house I’d definitely place HomePods all over the place, with HomePod max being in living room or something

I was just saying the other day that I really want to get rid of my Echo (Alexa is annoying AF) and wanted Apple to release a decent and affordable Homepod. I guess that’s not the direction they’re going in though 😭😭😭
