I live in a country where Valve does not sell the deck and right now i am in Canada. What is the best way to get the deck ? Create a new account and put the currency needed with gift cards from best buy ? If i do this, would my purchase go along or get refunded because its a new account or it will be ok since i added money with gift cards ? I tried buying it directly using the Visa card in another new account and it got refunded .

I tried using my Visa card that has CAD in it but the payment gives an error most of the time before even finishing the transaction.

    I ordered my Deck on vacay in the States last spring. Ordered it from American site and had it sent to a FedEx store near me as the address, general delivery type thing. You can do the same with UPS, just need to provide ID and such when picking up. You can do the same thing in Canada at FedEx pick up spots. Hope this helps.

      Does paysafecard could work ? Like, use the paysafe card to change my location of my account to canada by buying something, then use gift cards from best buy to buy the deck and sent it where i am staying ? Is there a chance that valve may refund it tho ? My account has a lot of games and is very old, not a single VAC ban ever

        I have no idea what a paysafe card is, sorry buddy. But I changed my account to United States and currency on Steam with no problems. When I got back to Canada just changed it back to here. As another mentioned I’d give Valve a call regarding what they process for pay. One option is going to Best Buy and buying Steam Store gift cards in roughly the amount of the steam deck. Just double check you can change your default store to Canada with no hassle because the gift cards won’t work in any other country except the one issued in. Learned that the hard with Nintendo gc’s.

          I tried to buy steam gift cards on game stop and the seller told me that i am only allowed to buy 2 gifts cards. Which is 100$. Would take a week until i get the whole money. Dont know if best buy has this limit tho, but i went to some and it didnt even had the gift cards.
