Looking for great 2D games to play. As much as I wanted to play 3D games for some reason 2D games feel just right on the Deck (also I’m terrible with joysticks).
My Deck basically became my Hades Machine for 110+ hours until I beat it. Buying Stardew Valley whenever it goes on sale. What are some other great 2D games I should check out? What are the best ones?
Rain World, Carrion, The Final Station, Celeste, Ori and the Blind Forest, Ori and the Will of the Whisps, Limbo, Inside, Oxenfree, Braid, Fez, Nidhogg, Rayman Origins, Rayman Legends, Ninja Turtles Shredder’s Revenge, and Signalis (not exactly 2D, but close and it’s pretty amazing)

Hollow Knight and both Ori games if you like platformers and Metroidvanias. I recently ended Blasphemous and had a blast with it.
I agree that the Deck is meant for 2D platformers. That’s why I’m holding off on buying many titles till I can get my hands on a Steam Deck.
Forgotten Anne is another great 2D game.
Ori series is great too.
Rayman Origins and Rayman Legends are fantastic 2D platformers
Outland is pretty fun but I don’t know if it works.
Legend of the Heroes: Trails in the Sky trilogy is great
Sonic Mania is a great 2D Sonic game
