I’ve got my deck oled coming soon and want to start strong by playing some games that are the most unique experiences for the deck.
By that I mean good PC only games, early access or otherwise, which work surprisingly well on deck. The sort of gaming experience you can’t get on other platforms.
What games do you feel deliver the most uniquely Stream Deck experience?
Yakuza Kiwami 2 and Yakuza Like a Dragon are excellent on the deck. Also if you somehow haven’t played portal 2, it is fantastic on the deck
Aperture desk job.
There is no list of PC only games, but most of the good games get ports as there is no one paying then to stay exclusive. But games with mainly mouse UI don’t work well on other platforms
What are some mainly mouse games that control well on deck track pads?
Oh boy you are in for a treat
- civilization, Galctic civilization
- total war, Europa universalis
- age of empires, company of heroes
- cities skyline, two point hospital
- Frostpunk, Rimworld
- Opus Magnum, Factorio
- Baldurs gate, wasteland
- Xcom, War Tale
The list keeps going, but i tried choosing the most popular games and you can find your favourite style and look for similar games. Some of these might have controller support but the mouse is the superior input
stReam deck you ask? well, any game streamed from xbox / ps / pc is great on the stReam deck, I can only recommend that as that is how I play 90% of my games. saves battery life, gives better graphics quality. but a good stable wifi is needed and quick resume isn’t your friend. trade off
Right now I’m playing Nightmare Zapping. Pretty cool concept and cheap as well. Console port is unlikely, the developer said as much.
