Hello! I live in australia and recently ordered myself a steam deck that came with a UK shape adapter, i have done some research and found that voltage output is the same with outlets in both countries but i am still very concerned with things that could go wrong if i decide to buy a travel adapter and plug in the bundled charger, does anyone have experience with how safe they are to use? my dad has used travel adapters before and accidentally fried the electronics, if this happens to my steam deck it will be extremely upsetting and painful

    The SD AC adapter input is 100-240V so using an adaptor works fine if you grid is within that range.

    There’s a genuine Chicony certified charger with a AU plug but for whatever reason not available on iFixit (which sells ones with US/UK/EU plugs in those region).
