    Have you tried a screwdriver instead? /s If you’re brave enough you could use a small dremel bit and use a flathead driver instead.

    Screw extractor, impact wrench with the best fitting philips bit you can find or if all else fails and it’s not a critical screw, drill out the head with a drill bit just larger than the screw body and then go without that screw.

    Had the same problem on my Lenovo IdeaPad, using pliers solved it. But it is flushed, I think the only way to get it out is to either use a screw extractor or break the housing.

    Use a thin rubber/elastic band or even use a latex disposable glove. Put either item over the screw head then use a regular screwdriver as normal, perhaps use a little more downward force when turning to ensure it grips. It should come off that way. Use a screwdriver or bit that fits snug, don’t use one that is too small or too pointy, as they can be different etc

    Try and source a new screw to replace it rather than using this one again.
