Got myself a watch 5 (not pro) and gave the water lock feature a whirl under the tap. Still works. I intend to wear this watch whilst at my job which entails bathing/grooming dogs. What has your experience been? It feels wild to put something so expensive under water (coming from a fitbit charge 2…). Would you risk it, despite it being a feature?

I have been swimming with my galaxy watch 1st gen in the pool for years. It literally has the swimming activity in samsung health, so yeah, you’re good.

I swim in the pool with my watch 4. it should be fine.

although if its ocean water, I’d probably take it off.

It’s a watch made for every day use man. 4 years doing dishes in a restaurant and not one galaxy watch has had a problem. 3, 4, 5 or 6. There’d be no point in making a watch so delicate that you gotta take it off every 5 minutes. It is made for every day use.

I work in a restaurant and all my galaxy watches from 3 to 6 have been doing dishes in a sink with Industrial detergents and hot water and I have never had a problem. Not once. I don’t even use the water lock.
