How to enable AMD Fluid Motion Frames on Video?

Pull the “dxgi.dll”(x64) and “dx9.dll”(x64) files from DXVK into the MPC-HC (x64) folder.

Download MPC Video Renderer and install on your system.

  • [For D3D11 Native] Support other player applications. Like PotPlayer…etc.
  • Open the Radeon Control Panel to manually create the MPC-HC Profile.

Add A Game…

For D3D11 Native

Media Player Classic - Home Cinema Settings > External Filters

Add “MPC Video Renderer” and force “Prefer” setting.

Other Player: PotPlayer

Open “MPC Video Renderer” settings

Enable “Use Direct3D 11”, “Passthrough to display” & “Auto display HDR On/Off” > “not used” only.

      It’s frame interpolation. Adds artificial frames between real rendered ones to increse fps of the content so it looks smoother.

        But if we have SRS and FSR, what’s the point of this new one?

        I mean, I feel all this technologies are the same

          It does a different thing, FSR upscales while this duplicates the framerate by adding an interpolated frame in-between two real frames. It can also be used in conjunction with FSR.

          If you mean because FSR3 has motion interpolation too, the difference is that AMD Fluid Motion Frames works on a drivers level, it doesn’t has to be implemented into each game and can even be used on videos, similarly to FSR and RSR, or CAS and RIS.
