Just bought the ultra 2 a week ago, first apple watch. I’m finding that doing things that supposedly can be shared between awu and iPhone are far from seamless.
If I leave my phone in the car, my podcast stops even though the awu says podcast app is running. Same with music. Same with phone calls. Is it really either or? I have to stop a function completely and start on the other device, and when I do the awu is extremely slow scrolling thru the apps (podcast, music) and clicking on anything gives me the spinning wheel for 10 seconds.
I kind of expected this to be a bit cleaner and less clunky of an experience when leaving my phone.
I have the issue with podcasts since the upgrade to Watch OS 10 , to get them to play from my watch when I leave the iphone behind, ie going out for a run / or leaving the iphone in the car , I either have to turn the phone off, or quit the podcast app on my watch and restart it when away from the phone , to get it to play to my AirPod pros . If i start a downloaded podcast on my watch when near the phone, it seems to be playing from the phone rather than the watch and once i get out of range it stops, and I cant recover other than quitting the podcast app on the watch .
