I had a deck last year, ended up selling it early this year but I’m back with the oled, which should be delivered tomorrow. So, what’s changed in the past year, and what are current best practices?

For example, is cryoutils still recommended as necessary? How about decky, power tools, etc? Is proton ge still recommended or does the provided proton work well enough these days? What’s the best way to manage proton? I remember constantly updating proton ge on my original deck and it was pretty annoying managing all the versions, what games needed what version, etc (for example, fall guys needed an old version for some reason at the time, stuff like that).

Anything else I may be not thinking about? I am pretty comfortable with everything but didn’t want to get the new deck and just go on and pick up where I left off if things have changed in the past 9 months.

3.5 fixed the SMT bug for emulators, but I’m also curious to hear if people are still using cryoutils for the swap change and other fixes.
