Kinda worried about the battery life on the steam deck oled as in if I have it plugged in while playing will it burn up the battery ? Ik the legion go has it listed as one of the features. Does the steam deck have this?

Yes. You need to use 45w or stronger charger, the official one is good.
I always play hooked on the cable and sometimes leave it charging over night were it most likely overcharges. The battery didnt change performance frim this in over a year.
