Unlikely I know, but a longer battery would be a bigger draw for me than OLED. But hey, if anyone figures out how to easily upgrade the screen to OLED I’m all ears

The internals of the oled are almost entirely different. Don’t think any of the new components are compatible with the lcd version. (And even old components have been revisioned to the point where I’m not sure if those are compatible anymore)

I bet there are people trying. However in this scenario you might be better suited printing a new case yourself and have fun on the way.

Nothing of the OLED is compatible with the LCD, save for the storage, which just uses a standard connector. Everything else is incompatible with the other.

i watched a teardown video and there was basically nothing inside that went untouched to accommodate the extra space the new battery takes up

Doesn’t appear to be so, they stated the LCDs screen is thicker than the oled, which gave them more space in the oled for battery, as well as the internals are rearranged.

the oled battery def no. But theoretically you might find a battery in the same size as lcd but with better chemistry for higher capacity. Battery tech evolves pretty quick, wouldn’t be surprised if you can get higher energy density, problem is finding one that’s the right shape.

For the cost of the parts and overall risk you’re better off selling your LCD to someone and just buying an OLED

Can’t happen, unless you can develop a way to store a larger power capacity in the same space.
