I got a new AW and I feel like this band has gotten a bit darker? Does anyone know the best way to clean it? Also, I usually just rinse the watch, but it feels super gross bc I sweat so much while running. Pls help a clean girl! Thank youuuu :)

I was really surprised too; they get dirty extremely fast. If it looks bad I just use soap and my hands to wash it quickly. Other then that you can simply throw it in the wash.

I’m mainly using a Midnight Sport loop with my current AW, it’s way harder to keep clean than the Milanese Loop I had on the last watch.

Some dish soap, warm water and a scrub once a week is working ok, but I’d be tempted to throw it through a wash in a delicates bag if I’m struggling to clean it.

Their official care advice is here: https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT204522#:~:text=Wipe the band clean with a separate cloth that’s dampened, you remove any excess moisture.

The sports bands make me itch like crazy. Mind your business. As long as you clean the sports loops they are perfectly fine.

Any time I sweat in my watch, I remove the band, take it into the shower with me, and wash it with the shampoo lather off my hands. I then just put on new band while that one dries. I got a 3 pack of knock off trail loops for $12 and this system has been working great.

I wet the band, use a spray of dawn powerwash, massage it into the entire band will, rinse, and let it dry. Takes out all the stains and doesn’t irritate my skin afterwards.

I have the same band but in bright yellow. It has also got a bit darker over the few weeks I’ve had it, and washing it at 40C in a delicates bag has got it clean of sweat etc, but has not brightened it up at all. I’ve begun to conclude that it is clothing fluff accumulated deep in the hook-and-loop webbing of the strap which, if I’m right, I don’t think there’s much chance of ever getting out.

Drizzle dish detergent on each side of the watchband. Immerse in hot water and hand scrub. Rinse very well and hang to dry. You should do this at least twice a week if you’re getting all sweaty. You might also consider getting two or three other nylon sports loops so you can change out to a nice clean dry band whenever your want.

I used to have this band, and I gave up cleaning it in 2 weeks. I got one of the Nike+ bands and I haven’t looked back. Fabric bands on a watch which is going to be tanking a lot of sweat was never going to be a good idea, probably the best way to clean out as much sweat/salt (mostly the salt) as possible would be to soak the band in soapy water but idk how well that would work.
