So basically I want to upgrade My (AN515-57-5700) Acer Nitro 5’s RAM (originally 16GB) (2 slots for RAM) and also add a secondary NVMe SSD. But one issue is I did some research and apparently some have said my model only goes up to 32GB, and another source says up to 64GB. So I’m not sure which to buy, whether 2x32GB RAM to equal 64 or one more 16GB to equal 32 RAM

And also regarding the NVMe slot, I don’t know the maximum storage capacity of the second slot. So I’m not sure whether I should buy a 1TB, 2TB or 4TB m2 for it. Again I have researched and I couldn’t find an exact answer. Any help/suggestions???

First, open up the laptop and make sure there is a place for the second ram and and ssd. The motherboard might have 2 slots for RAM and SSD, but the manufacturer might have only put one. That’s what happened to me. I have 2 slots of RAM on my motherboard, but room for only one ram stick.

Do you mean they only put ONE 16GB ram stick and left the other slot empty? because I believe that is also my case, too. I’m asking because I wasn’t so sure if it supported up to 32 GB or 64 GB RAM. But I did further research that it does indeed support 2x32GB RAMs to support up to 64 GB RAM. (I believe when the seller said it supported up to 32GB ram, I guess they meant per RAM stick).

I will do further research for the extra NVMe’s slot, Thank you for your response!

I mean that the motherboard might have the capacity for 2 RAM sticks, but there might only be one slot made by the manufacturer. Open the laptop and check before you buy the RAM.
