best single thread performance cpu?
As someone who is in the process of upgrading from an i7-4770k build to a 7800X3D, I am beyond excited.
I upgraded from i7-4790k to a 7800X3D. It’s amazing.
I did my build yesterday - 7800X3D, AK620 Digital cooler, 32GB 6000hz DDR5, ASUS TUF B650 Plus Wifi, Samsung 980 500GB boot drive, Samsung 990 Pro 2TB…
Still using my GTX 1080 for now until I can get my hands on a 7900XTX, but even so, it is insane how much faster this new build is!
I have just ordered a 5800x3d today, which will replace my 5 year old 2600x. I’m so excited to see the difference
I went from a 3600 to the 5800X3D, it was a massive upgrade, and it eliminated stuttering in games. I think I will skip AM5 altogether.
I would think the 13700k or 14700k would be the most balanced since you can get a 13700k for $335 and it has 8p core and 8 E cores. Also how is the 14700k a disappointment at $400 when it has 20 cores
This is a group for promoting channels?
Can I promote mine here?
Or do I have to sign up for a second account and pretend to be someone else to do that?yeah, the 7900X3D and X670 non-E boards didn’t really live up to the hype. I’d go for the 4060ti 16GB over the 7900XT for gaming any day.
No mention of the 10th or 11th generation cpus which is surprising because I own both and they are great for my gaming needs on lga 1200. Keep in mind that you don’t always need the newest or upgraded generation to enjoy your hobby on a certain budget that you are comfortable with when playing on low, medium and ultra settings for gaming.
Couldn’t agree more. I upgraded my FX6300 to an i7 7700 and can now play all the games I actually desire to play on the highest settings. I feel like modern hardware left most people in a weird dream world where only the shiny new halo products actually have a place to exist. Low spec gaming feels way more grounded in this sense, because the people specifically get the stuff they need without overbuying, just like almost all other tech niches do.
Can confirm. Built a 7800x3d with 64gb of ddr5 memory, pcie gen5 drive and a 4090 and the thing is a fucking rocketship.
The best cpu for everything on desktop considering performance and price is the 14700kf. Stop
Best overall for me was the 5800X3D. It’s not the best now but it dominated at a fraction of the cost and was a game changer. The 7800X3D was just the next iteration., the best CPU now but the gap between 5800X3D vs competition and the 7800x3D price adjusted felt bigger.
