Currently, I’m using a DualSense with my docked Deck and I love using the gyro for switch games, but I’d like to be able to wake up the device with the controller, which I know is only possible with a 2.4Ghz dongle. But then the controllers I was able to find that have both gyro and 2.4Ghz connectivity, only support motion controls on Bluetooth mode, which defeats the point. The only one I found that can do gyro over 2.4 is the Vader 3 Pro, but it needs its software to be running in the background, and I don’t know if that’s even available on the deck, and it also loses analog triggers unless on bluetooth.

Unless I can find a controller that does it all, I think I’ll just keep using the DualSense, since the touchpad is a nice addition too.

I mean technically bluetooth *is* 2.4GHz… but I digress. Sounds to me like it only supports wake from USB devices and not really that its a 2.4 adapter. Have you tried waking it using the dualsense with a wired connection to a powered dock? if it works could maybe just charge your dualsense from the dock when not in use, then hit a button while its still plugged in to wake the deck before unplugging the usb cable when you go to play.
