I’ve had a terrible day and I want to relax and unwind with a game that is wholesome, not stressful, is fun and engaging and is happy. I need me some gaming comfort food. I have my eye on A Short Hike or Alba as possibilities. I’ve also heard Firewatch is good.

What cozy games do you like to chill with? If I’m not looking for story I also like Powerwash simulator, which I play when watching mindless TV.

Sea of Stars. Performs very well on SD regarding fps, look and controls. Has a nice story to dive into but imho not to complex, so suitable after a normal/slightly stressfull day.

Coral Island, kingdoms and castles, Monster Rancher(for a classic ps1 Pokémon like), poker night at the inventory, sackboy a big adventure and death stranding.

Everything there for the most part is playable for a LONG time and relaxes me. Death stranding is a smidge stressful at times, but the rest are pretty laid back and sorta niche.

Islanders is actually very chill, Same as Dorfromantik or Terra nil. These Games are Not stressful, have some nice asthetics and have a calming Soundtrack. I iwn all of These Games and Play them every now and then to chill.

Islanders is great, dorf was a little too simple for my taste. Interested in terra nil but seems expensive for what it is.

Yeah Terra Nil hast a high price tag, but you also do good as 8% get donated to the endagered Wildlife trust. But yeah If you’re short in Cash ist’s a Bit expensive. But the askef.price in Sale is ok.

This post is a bit old now so you probably made a decision but I loved A Short Hike. I went in with a lot of hype and still really enjoyed it. It’s simple but plays very well and is over quick (I find completing something is satisfying when I’m stressed). Good luck and be well.

It’s still relevant as my stressful situation has no end in sight. I started to play Death Stranding but was tired so ended up watching a film. I will make a point of trying it out in the next few days. Completing something can feel good yes. I play a rhythm game called Arcaea on the iPad and getting a perfect score in a song is one of the few things I get any enjoyment out of at the moment.

Another option is horde shooters. I dove hard into Vampire Survivors when I was dealing with some issues at work - short play sessions, real feeling of progression and unlocks. Levels can be a little stressful, but the cost of dying is so small. See also, Brotato, 20 Minutes til Dawn. All great games.

I own vampire survivors and Brotato but I haven’t tried 20 Minutes Till Dawn. I definitely have played a fair bit of Vampire Survivors lately. I absolutely love the treasure chest animation. I have the startup for vampire survivors amongst the ones I bought with the points on the steam store.
