I recently bought a used S22 ultra for cheap from someone who switched to iphone, and I was thinking of trading it in for a S23 ultra instead because the trade in values are great right now but I know that the S24 lineup is due for an early launch in a few months.
So I wanted to ask those who know about past flagship launches, how are the trade in values for the pre-order or launch period? Do you think I can still get a decent price for my S22u or do you think it’s safer to just go for a $250 S23 ultra now than to risk getting a bad trade in quote for S24u?
I should also mention that I don’t really want carrier trade in offers or anything, I’m going for the unlocked version directly from Samsung. And I’m in the US so I’m not worried about any exynos business (my condolences for you fellas in EU and India though)

Meh. Trade in sucks compared to keeping your phone and giving it to friends or family when you get a replacement. Or selling it for cash. Only benefits I see to buying online is getting exclusive colors or a version with more storage that the store wouldn’t stock.
