Hey everyone, I have been look for a new laptop due to black Friday. I have set my eyes on the MSI stealth 15 with the 4060 model. I couldn’t find many reviews of the 2023 model so I would like to ask some questions. I am currently a university student who does computer science. I will be mostly looking to use this for class, coding and gaming. It would be really helpful if anyone knows the answers to the following:
- What is the build quality like? (plastic or metal)
- What are the hinges made of (plastic/metal)
- What is fan noise like for a laptop as powerful and slim?
- What is the performance like then plugged into an external monitor?
- Anyone with older versions of the stealth 15 what is their life span like? Can they last 4 years+?

I had a 2019 Msi stealth gs65 (15.6”) from 2019 until just a couple months ago. Amazing build quality. All metal. No hinge issues. Traveled the country with it constantly.
Never had a single issue. Sold it after 3 years of use for half my money back.
