So I just got my OLED in yesterday and since then I’ve had constant WiFi issues. I had it connect randomly last night before bed and downloaded some games but I wake up today and it’s back to having issues with 0 connectivity.
Just trying to hear out anyone’s experience in this regard because it’s honestly frustrating to not be able to do anything with it. I have a steam deck that I bought in January that I’ve had no issues with and all my other devices work perfectly fine. I’ve tried googling some solutions and tried the Dev mode suggestion as well as resetting my router/deck but nothing seems to help.

I couldn’t get my new OLED deck to connect at all so as a last resort I contacted my ISP. They performed a firmware update on my router and it’s been working without issues after that.
I am having issues with wi-fi connectivity too.
I just got my new LE OLED deck today and it refuses to connect to the wifi network that my old deck is connected to. It also is randomly not detecting any wifi network at times.I have tried
- Restarts & full power cycles
- Turning on Dev mode and disabling Wi-fi power management
- Made sure that I was on the newest Stable release.
Update: Sometimes it connects to wifi when I am in one part of my house, but when I move to another, it refuses to connect. We don’t have the 2.4 and the 5 ghz bands separated on this network. What confuses me is that my original steam deck does not have any issues.
It connects to the internet if I hard wire it. No idea what’s going on with the deck.
