I have the Samsung Galaxy S10. At some point earlier this year, I wanted to stop the automatic backup to google photos because I ran out of storage space. Then I think something came up on my samsung gallery app that I didn’t process and clicked something, and then a bunch of photos were gone. Not sure what it was that I did, but does anyone have any idea what it could be and how to reverse it? The photos still show up in google photos and I know I took them on my phone, they just disappeared. Is there some sort of opt in option that I clicked that filters out certain photos, like large ones or something like that? Nothing’s hidden or grouped or anything like that. Thanks in advance.

If you delete from google, it deletes from the gallery app. You may need to disable Google photos. How to fix is out there. Which I need to do.

You clicked probably the option to delete those photos from your gallery to save up space since you already had them on google photos.

You choose the option to delete the already backuped photos from the gallery, which is what Samsung does to save space on the phone. You can re-download the photos from the google backup.
