I upgraded my Steam Deck SSD a few months back, so I have one lying around. I have been having some issues with my PC and I try to blame windows but I as well need a way to be sure is not a hardware issue (and everything is pointing there and I’m scared but I need to be sure).

Anyway, I wanted to try my PC components (CPU/GPU/RAM, etc) and see if I get a BSOD or whatever happens on Linux, that way I’ll be sure it’s a hardware issue and not a driver problem with windows, now the question is: Can I pulg the Steam Deck SSD into my PC and just boot linux there and try to see if everything works? And save me some mental healt trying to dual boot linux and windows or is there a better way to do things? I’m a little familiar with arch linux and steam os, cuz I had to use the deck into my monitor to play but is not optimal but I leanrt a thing or two using linux. Is Steam OS something that only boot on the Steam Deck (ala iOS)?

If anyone knows, that’ll be helpful.
