Your fan will still be just as loud
it’ll be as loud while it’s running at the same speed, (at least; broadly i’m assuming the acoustic properties are close ebough not to be incredibly noticable compared to the OEM part) but i think the idea behind a shell replacement like this is that temperatures would be lower enough for the fan to run at a lower speed.
…now, as for if that works well enough to be worth doing? i don’t know.
