    Didn’t that light turn on when the batteries were getting low, so you actually DIDN’T want to see that LED because it meant you had to change your batteries soon?

      It was always on when the Gameboy was on, but you’re right that it could be used as a battery indicator. Basically the LED would get dimmer and dimmer as your batteries got lower.

      Yeah, this is what I remember too.

      Honestly the easiest way to tell the battery level was to check what contrast your LCD was set at using the adjustment dial on the left side. If you were pretty close to max contrast, the batteries were almost done.
