Look at the bright side: Now there is motivation to get a new screen replacement or even a shiny new OLED.

I accidentaly dropped mine yesterday but it fell right on my toes which softened the fall. I now have a broken toe but my steamdeck is ok. The LB is pretty mushy now though

My OG Deck dropped off my bed onto the carpet several times and the case separated near the triggers each time. My new OLED, oh no, that thing is getting buried under my pillow when I’m sleeping (not the pillow I sleep on, full size mattress, I sleep on the right side and use the other side as a nightstand substitute).

Disclaimer: I do not recommend burying electronic devices underneath bedding when they are charging. Non-zero fire risk.

I sleep on the right side and use the other side as a nightstand substitute, with an extra pillow

What about your partner, where do they sleep

        arent metal fires class D?

Apparently not lithium battery fires. If raw lithium rock is on fire, probably class D. But lithium battery involves flammable liquid.

Source: cursory Google search, idk otherwise myself tbh. Doesn’t seem intuitive.

It ain’t fun. Not hard, just tedious and takes a while. Took me about 3ish hours. My advice would be to try to limit beers to 3.
