Have you looked at or tried the satechi Bluetooth keyboard? It’s made for mac, has usb c, and backlight with adjustable brightness. I got one a few years ago and love it. Cheaper than apple too!
Most Mac users here are zealots and want to go all in on Apple. There’s people who genuinely love the magic mouse and you won’t be able to change their mind despite so many better third party alternatives existing
Lol, I’m one of those weirdos who loves his magic mouse.
Here’s the thing. I will happily buy non-Apple products (small example, I have a Sonos speaker instead of a HomePod).
Furthermore, I have zero issue acknowledging that the charging port on the bottom of the mouse is a fatal flaw, and the design isn’t particularly ergonomic either.
So why the hell do I like this thing? I like the way it feels in the hand and, critically for me, it’s the most satisfying clicking experience I have ever had.
Additionally, gesture support, my preference for unibody (vs. split or roller wheel or side-buttons) and not hating how it looks either = why I use this thing.
Honestly I see no way that I would go back from a proper mech one to a magic keyboard, touchid or not. Keychron (and plenty other vendors) have proper Mac keyboards, their customization and comfort are clearly above typing my password a few times a day.
Backlit magic keyboard please with usbc
Yes. The worst thing about that keyboard is the lack of backlighting. For that price it should absolutely have it.
mechanical keyboard with hhkb layout would be a wet dream going back to the m0110 days

But I do see its flaws.
No Touch ID == no sale. I really wish they’re out it on the trackpad so people had options
I’ve been using a first gen Magic Mouse for 13 years without issues. Sucks about batteries but it still works great. Comfortable too.
Usbc port on the bottom.
backlit aint a thing for magic keyboard?

This. Tried an Apple keyboard in-store the other week. It’s a hard pass from me.
And I just use the Apple Watch to skip the whole password-typing thing.
