Let me preface this by saying im new to all the pc, laptop, steam deck knowledge/verbiage, etc.
When installing a new ssd onto the steam deck you have to install/reimage the new ssd with steamOS, right? So what happens if you do that with a new ssd for an ally rog or Lenovo go? Would it work and now you have a deck with better screen and internals. Or is that not possible?
The image provided by valve is made specifically for the steam deck and likely won’t even boot properly on another handheld. If you want to have a steamOS experience on another handheld, distributions like Chimera Linux exist that will do that for you, and as far as I’m aware, Chimera is working on specific support for things like the ally.
