There are a couple of games I’m look at to pick up from the sale that I’ve been holding off on. The only problem is, I’m still a bit iffy if any of these games run just fine on the Steam Deck because that’s what I would be primarily playing on.
I looked at ProtonDB and a couple YT videos, if any existed for these games, but like with all PC games it seems like experience varies from person to person. Even despite the Steam Verification and ProtonDB certification. Some are perfectly fine without tinkering. Some have to do some workarounds, and others have constant crashes full stop. Some work for people out the box, some people have constant crashes or look or play like potatoes. Doesnt seem like a bunch of constant uniform experiences across the board. Despite that, Im still interested to hear peoples accounts if they played any of these games here for either assurance or adherence. That way I can know if I should wait a little longer to play them on my Steam Deck, got the green light to take advtage of the sale, or probably go for the Ps5 version instead.
I think it should be noted, Im not super picky. The game doesnt need to be the best graphical thing around for me, and I dont mind frame drops. As long as the textures dont look like complete smears and the game isnt constantly lagging/stuttering Im usually fine.
I was wondering if anyone here could give their own personal accounts for how the following games, if anyone played any of them on it; Resident Evil 4 (2023), Lords of the Fallen, Star Wars Jedi Survivor, Sifu, Blood West, Hogwarts Legacy, Remnant 2
