Dear all, just received my SD OLED but both joystick s are making weird sounds. If i move them a little bit, they make this clicking sound. I have read about this a lot, but my question is if ALL steam decks have this sound and is it normal? If not, then i will maybe exchange. Otherwise everything is fine! Thank you!
It’s normal with analog sticks in general. Sometimes it’s just easier to hear than others.
Q3? But this previous steam deck also made the stick clicks?
my original 64gb sticks made no sound, but the new ones on my 512gb oled definitely do. slight bummer.
I hear it too on my 512gb oled. I don’t want to bother replacing yet if it ends up being a common thing.
I’m hoping they’ll break in over time because it’s annoying the hell out of me
Just received mine, I noticed the clicking on both sticks. My 256gb doesn’t do that. :/
Same and it’s my first deck so I’m not sure if this is a normal occurrence.
I ordered an additonal steam deck and also tested one of a friend of mine. Both have this problem as well and sound exactly the same. So i think that (also after reading tons of comments) EVERY steam deck has it and we can do nothing about it. Helps.a bit :D lets hope it will get better with time.
