I just got my steam deck handed to me by a friend, a month after buying it!

The sale couldn’t have come at a better time. Ive already downloaded a couple of titles to my library. If anyone is looking for co-ops and teammates, pls add me!

So, I’m confused what to get right now between the 3. Money is scarce, im only buying cause its on sale and im afraid it won’t come down again for a few months. What combination should I get? ( Im from India, not sure if the same discount is running across the globe. RDR2 is off by 67%, Horizon at 75% and Hogwarts at 40%

Never played anyone of them. Would want to play Hogwarts legacy someday.

    Hogwart’s is fantastic (was my GOTY until BG3 hit) - plan on about 50 hours of play and it plays well on Deck. You can expect an easy, clean experience

    HZD is also great - about 50 hours of play, but it does not perform nearly as well as Hogwarts - it is a sacrifice to play it on Deck IMHO. You can expect wildly varying framerates during play, you’ll probably have to build shaders as you go, so the first 30 minutes in each new biome will take a performance hit.

    RDR2 probably has the most playtime of all - great game, but it is heavy lifting and isn’t without issues and you’ll probably have to futz around with it. I would expect the most trouble and sacrifice to “overall game experience” with this title.

    Depends how big of a Harry Potter fan you are. Hogwarts Legacy is a great Harry Potter game…but only a good/average game by today’s standards. Red Dead is slower paced but fantastic if you have the patience.

    I wholeheartedly and enthusiastically recommend Horizon Zero Dawn.

    Use the “Original” graphics settings as a base, turn Shadows down a notch, and install CryoUtilities. You’ll get a very consistent 36-40FPS most of the time, with the occasional momentary drop down to the low 20s (I experienced 6 in 70-odd hours of play); these drops are relatively common for HZD on all platforms, though — it’s generally a poorly optimized game overall.

    Hogwarts is alright, RDR2 is an amazing world a tedious as fuck game. Horizon is the best but I don’t think it runs well in the Deck.

    Hogwarts if you’re a big Harry Potter fan, RDR2 otherwise.

    rdr 2 = 80 hr story. superb immersive story, superb main character. will make you cry at end. typical rockstar style shooter gameplay

    hogwarts legacy= potter fan’s dream come true. immersive world. be a wizard. story can get boring and meh. and you might not feel like completing it. (there is just something about the game. i am a completionist and just didnt feel like finishing this game. so didnt my friends and it was an internet article about this too). wizard spell casting gameplay

    horizon dawn = 40-50 hr story. decent story. decent combat and things to do in the world. its not as empty (as rdr2). hybrid melee range dystopian style gameplay.

    cannot really go wrong with either game. all of them are excellent and their gameplay is excellent in their own way. so watch a gameplay trailer of all of them and take ur pick.

    an interesting thing to remember that both rdr2 and horizon dawn are NOW OLD compared to hogwarts which fairly recent.
