I’ve known for a while I’m a big fan of my wife. Been together since 2001, but today she said “You know, I was thinking, what if we bought you one of those OLED things you said you like. Then we could give your son your old one? Would you like to do that?”

I’m giving my LCD SD to a friend who’s been wanting a Steam Deck for a long time now.

I am curious and can’t agree with the winner part until i know, is there a reason she refers to him as “your son”? That is a very distant and separating way to refer to him.

Not really. I’ve got two toddlers and we refer to them as “your daughter or your son or the girl/the boy” sometimes lol. It’s all in fun and out of love and they have about a Million other nicknames that are personal. So long as it’s not done with any sort of malice it’s not really a big deal.

She did inform me that she’s my favorite person. That the kids of course can be second place, but she’s number 1

My wife told me no. And she was right I have a LCD version. But I’ll still keep her.

Then right after it’s delivered. “oh look at this lovely £600 handbag won’t that go great with these shoes”. Still worth it though.

If I even mentioned OLED Deck… My wife would kick my nuts so hard… I’d end up with a new set of tonsils (originals were removed about 50 years ago)

Best of luck. The sticks could be teething devices and the buttons just tactile stimulation. Gotta be some way a deck is a good baby toy.
