I’ve had both… and while the x is impressive the ps5 is just more fun exciting and newer. Like the controller has so many more cool functions like the haptic triggers, the lights and speakers

Makes sense, if you have a ps5 and a gaming pc, you have zero reason to ever buy a series x

It’s star to look like the war is finally over but I mean honestly how much better can they get before they are just full blown pcs that was kinda the draw for consoles in the first place……oh your too poor to afford a gaming pc here try this you can still play games for a fraction of the price

When was the last time an MS console was worth buying over Sony? Halo/GOW days? And even then it was just if you were big into online FPS.

It’s definitely a preference thing. If you play a game that’s on both consoles they play the same. At the end of the day it’s which controller do you like better and is there a console exclusive that you like enough to decide which one to get. I don’t really understand why there is such a big this console is better than that console debate all the time.
Outperform? Shouldn’t it be performing the same regardless of the region? Do they not have the same hardware on the different continents?
Xbox isn’t really a console anymore is it? Feels like it would be more appropriate to compare Gamepass to PS Plus or something.

Well if you just wanna chill at your couch and play stuff xbox with the gamepass works like a dream. I 've had 100+ games available since day 1 (and yes, many of them are really, really good) while my friends have 3-4 games on the ps5 max.
Not saying one is better than the other, but there are a lot of people like me out there who see the value of the whole xbox package. Don’t know what’s so hard to believe.
I think more people are realizing that they’re quite happy with 3-5 games per year Vs temporary access to hundreds that they don’t have time to play all of them

Not if you’re a smart shopper and buy most of your games during sales, even including 1 or 2 day-1 event AAA games in there
That’s a statement you pulled out of your head.
As I said, there are people who are perfectly happy with 3-5 games a year, and there are people who are perfectly happy with the gamepass.
Statements like “I cant believe more people would own an xbox!!!” make absolutely no sense. Xbox targets a very different crowd. Its definitely a smaller one, but its still a sizeable market segment.

Xbox isn’t beating the PS5 in any part of Europe, it’s just a poorly written and phrased article and headline. The percentage by which the PS5 is outselling Xbox is lower in the UK than in the other countries cited, but still more than double.
By most do they mean all? Is there anywhere in Europe where Xbox is ahead?

No, the article is just bad and stolen content from another article - they just don’t have the data for all regions so they don’t mention them but it is more than likely PS5 does better in all of Europe
It’s easily available here in Poland, but I guess that depends if you consider Poland central or eastern lol. I think Poles don’t like being considered Eastern, but I could be wrong.
That said, I think it’s natural PlayStation would lead in the console market.
I used to always buy Xbox. Until PC gamepass became a thing. I now buy a PlayStation because I can play all of Xbox biggest games on my PC and I have no need for an Xbox, and I imagine it’s the same for a lot of others.
Just got a PS5, and between my 3090 with i9900k PC, and Switch for Nintendo stuff I am all set I think.
UK I remember was a country where Xbox did okay.
Not anymore. Out of both consoles, about two thirds are PS5 in the UK.

A lot of friends of mine in the UK have Xbox. But everywhere else is very PS dominated
UK has always been the top market for Xbox. So I would expect it still to have a bit more of a presence than in the rest of Europe.
It definitely was in 360 era. PS way ahead now.
Oh they definitely have lost the battle but when compared to other European countries the UK is still doing a bit better.
