For me it’s when I’m sitting in front of my gaming PC or in bed. I never take my Steam Deck outside my home, it’s a portable console but it’s a hassle just to get it out of my bag then the case when I’m commuting in a train.

Home, friend’s place, coffee shops, sometimes the office (I mostly work from home, but those rare occasions when I have to go to the office for some reason and there’s nobody around I want to spend lunch time with). Haven’t used it on public transit, and probably won’t - not enough space, and I rarely use public transit anyway. Would use it on a plane or long train rides, but haven’t had occasion to travel since I got my Deck.
