Mine came in yesterday and i immediately put the ssd from my lcd deck in it. Did i screw myself, or should the stuff be on my account already?
From what other posts on here suggest, you can only redeem them from the original drive. It seems likely that they have some sort of flag set on OS images that they install at the factory, which the base editions and publicly-available recovery images do not have.
Just reinstall the old drive, accept them, then swap back and you should be good.
Can i live boot it from a usb dock, or do i gotta take apart my deck again?
That didnt seem to do the trick. Put the stock drive in and i dont think i got the items? Maybe putting in my old decks drive first and setting that up before even powering the oled on screwed me out of it. Oh well, not a huge loss just kind of a bummer. Wish they would just put them in your steam inventory after checkout when you bought the limited edition
Just wanted to inform OP that, yes; you can still redeem your LE model Startup vid and keyboard goodies.
1)Swap the original 1TB M.2 back into the OLED-LE.
2)Login in, head to Settings > System > Factory Reset (at the bottom).
- Follow through with initialization, log in again, and happily redeem your goodies in your account at the top-right.
