Hey guys,

I have 2 brandnew SD Oleds (for my gf and me). However, both don’t recognize USB drives in desktop mode - I’ve tried multiple adapters, exFAT, NTFS and so on, nothing works. I’ve never had any problems on my old SD. Is this software or hardware related?

Using a hub? Plug power cord into the hub, plug in the usb drive. Then plug the hub into stead deck.

For those of you with USB issues(on a dock), update the deck. If it still doesnt work with the new update, then go into bios and change usb settings to USB XHCI mode

I have an issue with my Ethernet cable - USB-C adapter. Not working at all with Steam Deck OLED.

If the above steps dont work: much different situation. Depends on the adapter’s chipset and contents. Some mount as a disk image that installs the driver for the actual adapter. This is for plug n play in windows. In that scenario you would have to physically alter the adapter which I do not recommend.

UPDATE: I changed from stable to beta, preview and back, nothing changed. Now I’ve tried it for the fifth time and now it works (on stable). I’m confused.
