I know SD cards aren’t all that fast, but just how slow is it? Is it slow booting but usable or absolutely abysmal? The other more important question is if you use this method of dual booting can you install games onto the built in SSD? Say I don’t care about windows performance, but I’d like Destiny 2 to run more smoothly and there’s the space for it, is it possible to install it on that SSD or is the whole thing tied to SteamOS? Thanks.
Look, find out for yourself man. Don’t listen to the anti-SD card people. What is “unusable” to them, may be perfectly acceptable to you.
You MUST not cheapen out on the card - SanDisk Extreme or bust.
Here is how to do it: (I prefer Windows 10)
Here is a REAL WORLD test in FULL you can see. Boot to play (including play). Good enough for COD MWIII? Good enough for Destiny 2 I say.
Acceptable?
This sounds like a horrible idea. If you are resorting to this I’m afraid that you probably made a bad decision and should have picked up a windows handheld or a laptop.
