I’m getting my first Steam Deck for Christmas and suffering from analysis paralysis on which games to get first lol (especially as I’ll have to be more limited on what I spend than I’d like), so I was curious what AAA games you’ve played on the SD that you enjoyed the most so far.

The one I’d really love to play is Baldur’s Gate 3 but I‘ve seen a lot of mixed reactions on how well it plays on the SD so I’d probably wait to play it especially as I’m not very technologically literate lol. But some others I’m considering are Cyberpunk 2077, Witcher 3, Elden Ring, Skyrim, Fallout 4, RDR2, and Sekiro

Death Stranding was fantastic on Deck. No performance issues and it controls super well.

I’m currently playing Rise of Tomb Raider, and it’s playing really well. It’s the native Linux version that ProtonDB doesn’t advise, but it’s running better than the Windows version for me.

The only thing is that it doesn’t resolve cloud saves between the Linux and Windows version

Just chiming in that shadow of the tomb raider is a solid 40 for me on high settings. Looks amazing on OLED

CP is a good choice, also Jedi Fallen Order, Mafia (Remake) and the System Shock (remake). Fallout 4 also runs also well, it‘s just not a good game at all.

Elden Ring and Sekiro are great experiences on the deck! Sekiro you can get close to 60 fps if you turn it to low settings, Elden ring you’ll get 30. I wouldn’t try pushing for more.

I have cyberpunk on GoG so I briefly bought it on steam when it came out with the 2.0 update and I just didn’t love that experience. I refunded and I’ll just keep playing it on my pc on GoG

Been loving Metro Exodus. Getting average to 40-50 FPS, with worst case scenario around the 30 mark. Runs really well on the deck and is so much fun.

I play ff7 remake, hogwards legacy, bg3 [the game is even with 20 fps playable sinince its round based]. Mass effect legendary edition.
